We act as a convening and enabling organization bringing together industry, civil society, academia, Indigenous peoples and local communities, and government to define, clarify and test the transformational approaches industry requires to contribute to the global goal of Nature Positive.
From Ground-Level Action to Systemic Value
Through our demonstration projects—beginning with the mining sector—we are refining a landscape-scale model that turns ambitious policy into operational reality. Through our community of practice we are developing and testing the frameworks and tools necessary for industry to meaningfully contribute to Nature Positive outcomes in the landscapes in which they operate. Landscape-level action and outcomes will be key to catalysing broader understanding, engagement in and commitment to Nature Positive approaches.

The NPLI model expands beyond adherence to business-as-usual mitigation hierarchy to redefine how industries engage with nature. Incorporating landscape-scale planning, supply chain transformation, and economic and business systems change, it supports industries in working with local communities across their landscape to remove pressures on ecosystems and rebuild ecological integrity.
